  3. NAV confirmation (seasonal work only)Employer · Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV)
  4. Application registered and fee paidWorker / Employer · Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI)
  5. Documents handed inWorker / Employer · Police in Norway, or a Norwegian embassy/consulate abroad
Documents usually requested
  • Valid passport

  • Documentation of the qualification the job requires: a completed vocational training programme of at least three years at upper secondary level, a university/university college education or degree, or documented long professional experience (generally at least six years)
  • Evidence that pay and working conditions meet the Norwegian requirement, including the collective wage rate where a collective agreement applies
  • Written authorisation from the worker where the employer applies on their behalf

  • UDI issues a case-specific document checklist after the online application is submitted — follow that checklist, not a generic list
